Mouse Guard Year 1: Summer
Hail all those who are able. Any mouse can, any mouse will, but the Guard will prevail.
Heroes fall, heroes break, heroes bleed.
They shed bitter tears, pull themselves up, not to concede.
Often are they waylaid and frequent they mourn.
Heroes are rarely made and even more seldom born.
Not till after they die, do mice sing of their tale.
A job, a duty, a thankless obligation not to fail.
Still many a mouse think only the name is required.
What becomes of them? They either quit or expired.

Two patrols of mice venture forth to guard the territories in year 1148. They are the Mouse Guard, heroes in name and deed. Were it not for the guard, mouse society could never exist. Under our brave paws, we will keep everymouse safe, from all manner of harm. No matter what.

10: Summer 01 - West Patrol Delivers the Mail
Summer has come to the Territories, and with the fresh start of the season comes one of the most important tasks of the Guard: delivering mail. Lily, Sable, Zeke, and Isolde stand together again, setting out to keep the territories well-connected and well-informed. Be it rain, snow, floods, ravens, or weasels, nothing will stand in the Guard's way to ensure their postal delivery!

11: Summer 02 - East Patrol's Summer Vacation
Last season's crew of Tander, Francisca, and Marx has reunited once more, with another mission for the newly-forming town of Wildseed. With the wind blowing softly and the summer sun shining bright, East Patrol finds themselves on a lovely, leisurely trek to Shorestone to pick up some refugees.

Zeke's past has caught up to him, and he's determined not to let it catch up to anyone else. As determined as he is to leave the patrol, others are equally determined to see him stay. How strong do the bonds of friendship hold?

Now that they've arrived in Shorestone and scouted the place out, the East Patrol finds they have a lot of work to do, and not a lot of time to do it. As the sun begins to set on the camp of refugees, our heroes make some preparations for the job ahead of them.

West Patrol, exhausted from last night's emotional ordeal, is approached by a red mouse named Loomis. He has a lot to worry about - his best friend is on trial for murder, and only the Mouse Guard can help find the truth!

With only a few days to prepare, East Patrol must push themselves to meet the deadline and move the caravan out to Wildseed. There's a lot to do and no time to do it, but the Guard keeps their heads high and their spirits positive in the face of all adversity!

The East Patrol has reached the most dangerous obstacle in their escort mission - stony, open cliffs. Without any kind of foliage or tree cover, there's nothing between the refugees and an open sky full of hungry birds. And as Marx, Tander, and Francisca quickly discover, these cliffs hide more than just birds...

18: Summer 09 - West Patrol and the Spider Grove
West Patrol's mail route takes them to Woodstuff's Grove, deep in the swampy borderlands. The spider farms found here provide silk for all the Territories, and the man in charge, Mayor Cavre, gives our heroes a warm welcome. Or at least, he does once he finds out they have nothing to do with that terrible arsonist, Marx...

East Patrol finally reaches Wildseed, with everyone intact. Now that we're here, its time for everyone to get settled in, settled down, and begin the next chapter of their lives. But when you put this many mice together, mice who've never met, mice who come from different towns with different cultures, arguments are inevitable.
